It's an outlet, It's also a means of achieving something we're constantly reminded of and almost daily bombarded with by the media. Social networking. I started out by wondering just what the attraction with writing about the trivia of her daily life so enthralled my wife. I soon discovered that if one does such a thing, one needs to chose the forum in which one does so. Vox is okay. It's a community of reasonably like minded people, at least in so far as blogging goes. Besides, no-one else who reads me, knows who I am anyway. Probably couldn't care less anyway. Occasionally though, we mesh ideas and opinions and that's when it works.
In the real world blogging community - the one where people actually know, or at least think they know who you are, one doesn't write about the warm and fuzzy, the touchy-feely, close-to-the-heart stuff. One writes about issues, politics, history, global warming and space flight, among a plethora of other non-personal things. Why? Because the internet is just chock-a-block with all manner of evil, wicked, mean and nasty types, Virginia. The types who will, for shits and giggles, gather their forces and commence DoS attacks on your domain. Libel you because they have connections to the main stream media, and generally create a destructive nuisance in your life, because they can. It's funny.....until it happens to them. Just this past week, it happened to a couple of former snark bloggers in the OzSphere and not before time given their past performances. I've never been a target, but many other's in the sphere have. It's nice to see the worm turn.
So, yes, blogging is fun, but never forget, young fella and lady.....the internet is like a warm bath. You never really no just how warm, until you step into it feet first.

My wife. I'm always offending my wife. That's just me, I guess, and she is who she is, which is easily offended. I speak plainly, and more so the older I get. She doesn't like to hurt feelings, so she doesn't. It's said that opposites attract.
Whose house (besides your own) were you in last and why?
I don't go into other people's houses. Why the hell would you want to go into somebody else's house? Weird!
What most excites you about the way you're living your life right now?
Fuck all, really. If you call work-home-work-home five days a week, flight simming on weekends because I can't afford to do anything else, then I s'pose that's exciting. Frankly, I'd always hoped there'd be more to it.
What would you like to do more of?
Just about anything which doesn't require that I work at a job that I don't enjoy, simply for the money.
Which popular slang expression drives you nuts?
"Touch Base". It's such a meaningless inclusion into everyday business speech.
